Steve Kuchta, Sr.
October 6th, 1953 – November 14th, 2024
Steven Thomas Kuchta, Sr., 71, of Catonsville passed away peacefully November 14, 2024 and was surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Theodore Kuchta, and his partner, Laura Harrison. He was the beloved husband of Linda Kuchta, nee Zaccari, and the devoted father of Steven Kuchta, Jr. (Rachel) and Heather Kuchta (Edward); loving grandfather of Amber, Ashley, and Emily Kuchta and Edward (Kylee) and Alyssa Stromberg; kind-hearted great grandfather of Christian, Camden, and Hazel Stromberg; and cherished brother of Lauretta Flynn (Robert), Janice Carr, and Theodore Kuchta, Jr. (deceased).
Steve was born and raised in Baltimore and a proud graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School. He spent much of his career helping to manage restaurants including the Westview Lounge & Supper Club in Catonsville and the White Marlin in Ocean City. Some of Steve's passions included boating and fishing and, when possible, he enjoyed escaping to the Floridian seas — like a true Parrotthead!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kelsey's Restaurant in January 2025.
Steve was cremated and ashes will be enshrined at Meadowridge Memorial Park in the spring of 2025. More details will be posted as they become available.
